End of London and PARIS!

Before I write a longggggg blog about my first couple of days here in Olomouc, I thought I had probably better write about my time in Paris!

As you can imagine, Paris was everything I ever dreamed it would be. It's old, beautiful, amazing food, more specifically, bread, Macaroons and crepes... boy my mouth is watering all over again. We got up entirely too early again to catch our hour long flight to Paris which seemed like 15 minutes...

Our apartment was definitely a tiny Paris apartments, if you've ever seen Ratatouille, you know what I'm talking about... Up three flights of a winding staircase with no elevator 🙃 But it was beautiful!

We took a free walking tour we found online with a local that made our stay even more interesting because we got insight and history on what we were looking at versus trying to figure it out on our own. He was outgoing, funny and answered all of our many questions. The Eiffel Tower was of course everything and more... instead of going up into the tower, though, our tour guide told us it was more worth it to go up into the only skyscraper in Paris, that stands out like a sore thumb, but it gives you a breathtaking view of the Eiffel Tower and the entire city. Definitely worth it at night!!

We toured Notre Dame, attempted the Louvre (ssssooooo confusing, so we left)... Ate crepes for brunch close to Shakespeare's Café where Hemingway used to write, toured the bookstore there that never ended but we of course couldn't take pictures.. Got to walk on Love Lock bridge, which doesn't have locks on it anymore because it's a wooden bridge and it was so heavy it was going to break, so another bridge down the way now has lock's on it because it wasn't going to stop them so we had to join them.. 😊

I would 100% recommend a walking tour in any foreign city from a local because it gives you insight into the city that you never would have had otherwise. Paris is beautiful but a lot of people and other buildings were killed and destroyed to make it look that way. The history of Paris and France is quite funny because foreigners to France always make fun of them for never making up their mind and it's true. We got quite the history lesson of all the regimes, reigns and revolutions that happened over and over again, so it's true, the French don't know what they want 😂

There are some mixed in pictures of the London Bridge and the City of London, our last day there, it was so cold so all we did was go to the Borough Market that had exotic and local fresh food - so interesting and full of beauty. The rest are of Paris!

Finally enjoying and starting to get used to Olomouc but like I said, I'll talk about that in another post.

Au revoir! 😘

PS - I haven't had bad coffee anywhere yet 😍
